I. What this is

When did you two last
make a new friend?

It happens to every couple: the calendar fills, the circle sets, and it’s the same faces at the same three restaurants. So — one table, on a weekend: you two, plus two couples you’ve never met, matched by oddtables couples so the conversation carries itself. You just turn up.

Making couple-friends as adults is strangely hard: someone has to go first, and nobody wants to be the couple that asks. We go first. Every weekend you say yes to, two couples you don’t know are already at the table — with enough in common to start, and enough difference to stay interesting.

Matched, not random

Each of you takes a short quiz, separately. We read the twelve answers together and match you as a pair — age, stage of life, and how the two of you talk.

Couples only

Never mixed with the solo oddtables pool. Three pairs at every table — nobody is networking, and nobody is flying solo.

Weekends

Tables happen on weekends. The invitation tells you the area and the plan; the restaurant is confirmed once you've said yes.

Four steps.
No profiles to browse, no group chat, nothing to organise.

01

Each of you takes the quiz.

A short quiz each — about 4 minutes, answered separately — plus a few questions about the two of you together. So we know your stage of life, not just your taste in music.

Good to know

Answer on your own, not side by side. Different answers are fine — they help us match you.

02

We pick two other couples for you.

A similar age band, the same side of town, never a couple you've met through us before. Matched on how the six of you think — not jobs, not photos.

Good to know

You're matched as a pair. You're never seated apart from your partner.

03

The invite comes on WhatsApp.

One message, to one of your numbers: the area, the plan, and one link to say yes for both of you.

Good to know

The restaurant is confirmed once you've said yes. Can't make it? Say so — the seats go to another couple.

04

You go to dinner.

On a weekend. You walk in together; the other two couples are there or on their way. Six people, one table. Each couple pays their own bill.

Good to know

Afterwards we ask which couples you'd happily see again. It makes the next match better.

You, your partner,
and two couples you’ve never met.

Three couples, six people, one table — at a restaurant worth leaving the house for. We pick the other two couples and book the table; the only decision left to the two of you is yes or no. If any couple has sat with you before, they don’t make the cut.

How the two of you get matched

Each partner takes a short quiz separately (about 4 minutes each), plus a few questions about the two of you together — so we know your stage of life, not just your taste in music. We match you as a pair, and you’re never seated apart.

Two chairs each,
one verdict.

A. & S., Gurgaon — oddtables couples
His friends, my friends — and the four people we actually chose.

Every couple we knew came pre-installed: college, colonies, cousins. The two couples at that table were the first we picked ourselves. Noida to Gurgaon, worth every kilometre.

We'd become a logistics company. This made us a couple again.

School runs, groceries, whose turn to book the cab. One table a month where we're just two interesting people — it recalibrates the whole week.

V. & P., Noida — oddtables couples
A couple who runs a bookshop. A couple who runs marathons. Us.

Nothing in common on paper, which was the point. We stayed till the staff yawned and swapped numbers in the parking lot.

Q01

Do we both need to take the quiz?

Yes, separately. About 4 minutes each, then a few questions about the two of you together. Don't compare answers first — the differences help us match you.

Q02

Will we know who's coming?

No — that's the point. There are no profiles to browse. You'll see the other couples' first names on the night, and nothing before.

Q03

Who will we meet?

Two other couples — six people in all — around your age and from your side of town, picked so the table carries itself. Always from the couples pool; solo oddtables members are never mixed in.

Q04

Will we ever be seated apart?

Never. You're matched as a pair and you sit together.

Q05

What if one of us can't make it?

Tell us — reply on WhatsApp or tap "can't this weekend" on the invite. Your seats open to another couple and we try you the next weekend. There's no penalty if you tell us in time; only an unannounced no-show counts against you.

Q06

Do we pay for the meal?

Yes — each couple pays their own bill at the restaurant. The subscription covers the matching and the table, not the food.

Q07

Can we come with friends?

No. This is for meeting couples you don't know — every table is you two plus two couples we've picked. A table with your friends is a different thing; write to us if that's what you're after.

Q08

When are the tables?

On weekends. Each invitation names the area and the plan; you say yes or no with one tap, for both of you. The restaurant is confirmed once you're in.

Q09

Why one WhatsApp number for two people?

Everything — invitations, the venue, prompts — goes to one of your numbers so nothing gets missed. Partner two can add a number too, but we only need one.

Q10

Why an ID from each of us?

So everyone at every table is who they say they are. Both IDs are stored once, never shown to other members, and deleted on request.

Q11

Is ₹3,999 for both of us?

Yes. Per couple, per month, incl. GST — up to 4 weekends a month (up to 3 in the first month). Your bill at the restaurant is separate.

Q12

Same-sex couples? Long-distance? Newly together?

All welcome. We ask how you think and where you are in life — not how long or how you're together.

Q13

How do we cancel?

From your household page, any time before your next billing date. No call, no hoops. Full refund if we haven't seated you in your first 30 days.
